Miss Lianne
Lianne is one of the founders of Starz Ballet. She trained at the prestigious Performers Dance College owned by the famous TV choreographer Brian Rogers, completing a 3 year musical theatre diploma and a distinction in all her ISTD dance teaching exams. She proceeded to work for 10 years as a professional singer and dancer on cruise liners and land jobs both in the UK and abroad. After meeting her husband and having 2 gorgeous children Lianne settled into teaching singing and dancing and is very proud of her 3rd ‘baby’ ‘Starz Ballet’!
Miss Cheryl
As one of the founders of Starz Ballet, Cheryl takes pride in her work growing and developing the Starz Ballet® Dance Syllabus and Teachers’ Training Programme, continually improving their friendly ballet business since Starz first launched classes in 2010. As well as the business side of things, Cheryl also takes pleasure regularly teaching her busy Key Stage 1, after school classes in Alverstoke. Cheryl danced from just 2 years old and moved through the grades until her late teens. Dance filled much of her time as a child leaving many fun memories of dancing competitively and for fun with her many ‘dancing friends’!
Miss Hannah
Hannah attended the prestigious Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts, graduating as a fully qualified ISTD dance teacher. Her first professional contract after graduating was for the Irish spectacular ‘Spirit of the Dance’ touring USA and Australia. Following that Hannah was part of the inaugural dance team on the luxury cruise ship Silver Shadow (Silver Sea). She came back to dry land and joined the cast of Beauty & the Beast for the 1st national UK tour. Hannah was then given a position on the inaugural team onboard Crystal Serenity (Crystal Cruise Lines) where she performed onboard for two years. Returning to her home town in 2006 and settling down with her young family she started working for Starz in 2011.
Miss Lara
Lara has been dancing since she was 3 yrs old, and is an experienced and ISTD qualified Dance Teacher with a BA Hons in Dance and studied under a scholarship at Italia Conti. Lara specialises in Ballet, Tap, & Modern and also runs her own Cheerleading squad. Lara has danced professionally in theatres in London’s West End with the lead role in ‘Hairspray The Musical’, as a dancer at ‘The Brits’ and cruising around the world as a performer for Carnival Cruise lines.
Miss Sofie
Sofie is a highly qualified dancer, dancing since only 4 yrs herself, Sofie has progressed her dance from A Level dance to degree level achieving a BA (hons) for Dance and Choreography. Sofie is an experienced teacher with both children and also adults, and is also qualified to teach both ISTD and the Starz Ballet® Dance Syllabus!
Miss Natalie
Lives in Lee-On-The-Solent Friday-Monday and London Tuesday-Thursday where she is still dancing professionally. Natalie is a fully qualified Starz Ballet® teacher, having successfully completed her training with Starz during March 2016. Natalie has danced in the English National Ballet Swan Lake, where she performed at The Albert Hall. Natalie trained at Central School of Ballet (First Class BA Hons Degree) and Royal Ballet (Mid and Senior Associates)
Miss Michaela
Michaela started dancing at the age of 11 at her local dance school, and is still dancing at the school now studied. She gained a BTEC dance at secondary school and then did BTEC Dance and Performing Arts (musical theatre) at College passing with distinction*s across the board. Additionally Michaela also has a 1st class BA(hons) Degree in choreography and dance. Michaela also has a passion for aerial theatre as well and has done basic training in static trapeze, silks, harness work, stilts, pole and is looking to further her training and try aerial hoop. Michaela has a passion for performing and choreographing and is very excited to teach and pass on her knowledge.
