Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

Welcome to Starz, operated by Starz Enterprise Ltd ("we", "us", or "our").

These Terms & Conditions apply to classes and activities operated by Starz Enterprise Ltd, including Starz Ballet®, Starz Acro®, Dance Starz and Tap Starz.

By enrolling your child in our classes or events, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions, which form the basis of your relationship with us.

If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with your booking or use of our services.

1. Who We Are

Starz Enterprise Ltd

Registered office: Kintyre House, 70 High Street, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 7BB

Company number: 11034020

2. Booking and Registration

All class bookings are made through our approved booking system, currently Pebble.

By registering your child, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have appropriate authority to make the booking, and that the information provided is accurate and up to date.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if a class is full or if payment is not received.

3. Payments and Membership

Starz operates a rolling monthly membership. Payments are collected automatically each month through Pebble using your chosen payment method.

Membership payments are not linked to the number of classes running in any specific calendar month. Instead, the total annual cost of scheduled classes is divided into equal monthly instalments for convenience.

This means the same monthly payment applies regardless of school holidays or term dates.

Membership fees already paid are not normally refundable for classes a dancer chooses not to attend. This does not affect your statutory rights, including where we are unable to provide the contracted service.

4. Cancelling Your Membership

You may cancel your child's membership at any time by emailing [email protected], with CANCELLATION in the subject line.

Once your cancellation request is received, one final monthly membership payment will be taken on your next scheduled payment date.

Your child is welcome to continue attending their regular classes for the attendance period covered by that final payment.

After this period, your child's membership will end automatically and no further monthly membership payments will be taken.

Because payments are collected monthly in advance, the length of time between submitting a cancellation request and your child's final class will depend on when during the monthly billing cycle you cancel.

This approach allows us to manage class places, teacher commitments and venue costs while giving families the flexibility of a rolling monthly membership rather than requiring a long-term contract.

5. Missed and Cancelled Classes

Classes missed by a dancer are non-refundable.

Where possible, we may offer an age-appropriate alternative class as a make-up session, subject to availability. Make-up sessions cannot always be guaranteed.

If we have to cancel a class ourselves, for example due to teacher illness, venue closure or another unforeseen circumstance, we will communicate this as promptly as possible.

Where appropriate, we will aim to offer an alternative class, alternative venue or credit.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrolment, teacher illness, venue issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Annual Membership Fee

An annual membership fee of £25 per dancer is payable each membership year.

This contributes towards the insurance, licensing and administrative costs associated with running our programmes.

The current annual membership fee and when it becomes payable will be clearly communicated as part of the booking process.

7. Uniform and Appearance

Starz uniform is optional.

Dancers should attend classes in comfortable clothing suitable for safe movement. Hair should be tied back where appropriate and jewellery and accessories should be kept to a minimum.

Families who wish to purchase Starz uniform can find further information on our website or speak to their class teacher.

There is no requirement to purchase Starz uniform before attending a trial.

8. Health, Safety and Safeguarding

You are responsible for notifying us of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries or additional needs your child may have, and for keeping this information up to date.

Starz Enterprise Ltd is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all dancers.

Our teachers hold Enhanced DBS checks and follow our safeguarding, health and safety and child protection policies.

Parents and guardians should let us know if there is anything we can reasonably do to support their child's participation in class.

9. Photography and Video

From time to time, we may take photographs or videos during classes, performances or events for marketing, promotional or training purposes.

Parental consent for photography and video is requested during registration.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

Withdrawing consent will not affect any processing that has already lawfully taken place before consent was withdrawn.

10. Behaviour and Conduct

We expect dancers, parents, guardians and visitors to behave respectfully towards teachers, other dancers, families and Starz staff.

We want our classes to remain welcoming, positive and safe for everyone.

Serious or persistent disruptive, disrespectful, abusive or unsafe behaviour may result in a dancer's membership being suspended or terminated.

Where a membership is terminated by us, any refund that may be due will be considered in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and the customer's statutory rights.

11. Performances and Events

Starz holds theatre shows and other special events throughout the year.

Participation in performances and events is optional.

Families who choose to participate may incur additional costs, which could include costumes, tickets, photography, merchandise or other event-related items.

Any additional costs will be communicated clearly in advance wherever reasonably possible, allowing families to decide whether they wish to participate.

Choosing not to participate in a performance or event will not affect your child's regular class membership.

12. Liability

We take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for all dancers participating in our classes and events.

Starz Enterprise Ltd cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to classes, performances or events, except where such loss or damage results from our negligence or where liability cannot otherwise lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

13. Intellectual Property

All Starz class materials, choreography, branding, trademarks and digital resources are the intellectual property of Starz Enterprise Ltd or are used by us with appropriate permission.

They must not be reproduced, shared, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services, systems, legal requirements or business operations.

The latest version will always be available on our website and will show the date on which it was last updated.

Where a material change affects an existing membership, we will communicate this to affected customers in advance where appropriate.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
